MM680 panel

All about it

The Roomic Cube is in development-it is an 8-in, 8-out voltage controlled matrix mixer designed for experimental "cubic" audio installations where there are ceiling and ground quad speaker arrays, or octagonal surround (switch selectable). Each input has x, y and z control inputs that will drag the signal away from its corresponding input to the other outputs.

The intent is to have a routing system which can direct signals straight to a multi-speaker installation, so there will be provision for a rear-panel balanced line out for all outputs.

The name is inspired by an album by 1990s Shibuya-kei musician Takako Minekawa.

Tech Notes

We are looking at the possibility of adding simple gating to each input, due to feedback received at SuperBooth 19 (thanks Abi!)
